Is your child experiencing persistent behavior problems that interfere with quality of life?

Significant problems of behavior including defiant behavior, aggressive behavior, violent behavior, self-injurious behavior, obsessive or compulsive behavior, excess stubbornness, intolerance of transitions, and indifferent behavior may not represent just a deficiency of a psychiatric medication like a stimulant or anti-depressant.  These types of behaviors often originate from more fundamental problems including subtle brain inflammation and brain chemical (neurotransmitter) imbalances or deficiencies.  These problems may relate to diet-related intestinal inflammation, effects of environmental toxins, infections as influenced by genetic predisposition.  My integrative approach to these problems considers the entire biologic system as a whole to try to restore balance and reduce undesirable inflammation and toxic effects.
